Do you hate New Year’s resolutions?! I sure do. Most of the time they fall over before the end of the New Year week!
For the last few years, I’ve given them the flick and instead gone with a word that I use to focus my activities. To be honest – I can’t even remember last year’s word! But during the year I did come up with my life mantra of Peace, Joy and Gratitude that this page is named after.
I use this daily to remind me of all the good in my life, particularly on those days where there seems to be no good at all. It has helped me move on from my anxiety by making me move away from negative thoughts. Not that I no longer have those negative thoughts – I find that by using these words to focus on the good, the negative words just don’t have the impact that they used to on my life.
My focus word for 2019 is INSPIRE. I hope to inspire people across the various work that I do, to look outside their box that they find themselves in. To inspire them to make daily improvements to either themselves or their environment. Micro changes are still better than marking time!
I love this graphic below – it is such a great representation of what I don’t like about New Year resolutions!
Here is to a fab 2019 – I hope you continue to follow me on this journey!
